Georges Joannin (Lyon 1806-1874) French painter. From 1857 exhibited mountain landscapes and seascapes in Lyon and Paris. His most notable works are: Woodland Pool (Béziers Museum); Thuille Valley, Near to Morestel and Pond Near Crest (Paris 1861 , honourable mention); High Tide at St Malo (Lyons, 1876 ); and Canal (Lyons, 1870 ).
