Jan Kazimierz Olpiński (Lviv 1875 - 1936 Lviv)– Polish painter. In 1893 he started study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in the studios of Karl Raupp and Karl Marr. Thanks to a scholarship from Josef Frank in 1897 Olpiński continued education in École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts in the atelier of René-Xavier Prinet, James McNeill Whistler and Raphaël Collin. He also studied at Académie Colarossi. In 1898 he debuted at A world's fair. In 1899 he traveled to Italy and Latvia. He moved to Vienna for five years, and studied in the workshop of Kazimierz Pochwalski in Akademie der bildenden Künste. He won many awards for example Kaiserpreis. He moved to Lviv, Krosno, Kraków and Żywiec. In 1921 he returned to Lviv. He used oil paint and watercolors and created village landscapes, genre scenes and portraits. His works are in National Museums in Kraków, Warszawa, Poznań, Szczecin and also in museums collections in Żywiec, Jarosław and Lviv.
