Włodzimierz Albin Rutkowski (Warszawa 1915-1992 Warszawa) In Warsaw, he attended the Municipal School of Decorative Arts and Painting. He was a student of the painter Czesław Wasilewski, whose work had a huge impact on his painting. Horses and landscapes became a dominant themes in his work, and the friendship and cooperation with Wasilewski lasted until the death of the latter, that is, until 1946. In the interwar period, he participated in artistic life by exhibiting paintings in Warsaw galleries and exhibitions of Polish painting. After the war, he was active in Kujawy in Włocławek, where he participated in several group exhibitions of the local Museum. In 1960 he returned to Warsaw and painted mainly Warsaw themes. Together with his son Wojciech, who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1968, he exhibits in Warsaw galleries and abroad; in Germany, Austria and the USA.
