Władysław Galimski (Kiev 1860 - 1940 Bydgoszcz) Polish painter, landscape painter, portraitist. He studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg under P. Chistiakov (1880-88), where he received the title of "Klassnyi chudozhnik I degree". In Kiev, together with W. Kotarbiński, J. Stanisławski and other artists, he founded an artistic society and a private drawing and painting school, later transformed into the Polish School of Fine Arts. He exhibited extensively, including at the annual shows of the St. Petersburg Academy (1885-1889), at the world exhibition in Chicago in 1893, in Kiev, Krakow (TPSP), Warsaw (TZSP), Kharkov, Moscow, Odessa. He painted mainly genre scenes from village life and landscapes.
