Adam Setkowicz (Cracow 1875 - 1945 Cracow) - Polish painter and watercolorist mostly known for landscapes. Author of many reproductions in illustrated magazines and postcards. In the years 1897-1898 he studied in the Academy of Fine Art under Teodor Axentowidz and Jan Matejko. He painted genre scenes from Polish villages: sleigh rides, huntings, folk customs and forest landscapes. He also painted Cracow architecture, allegorical and Jewish scenes. Setkowicz referred to the works of Alfred Wierusz-Kowalski, Józef Brandt or Julian Fałat.
