Berthold Boess (1877-1957) was a German sculptor and modeler. He studied in the High School of Decorative Arts in Karlsruhe. He worked for Rosenthal between 1913 and 1934. In this time he designed 25 models of figurines. Few of these figurines was also used by Karl Ens and Volkstedt porcelain manufacturers.
