Jan Pawłowski (b. 1949) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, graduating in 1979. In the following years, he traveled extensively throughout Europe. In 1881-82, he spent time in Paris, then in Italy, including Venice, Monaco, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and England. In 1988, he moved to the United States. Currently, the artist lives on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. He paints in the Post-Impressionist style, creating colorful landscapes and coastal views, which he successfully exhibits in numerous American galleries.
