Edward Mesjasz (Częstochowa 1929 - 2007 Częstochowa) was a Polish battle painter. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. His professors was Jerzy Kossak, Czesław Rzepiński and Jerzy Fedkowicz. After education, he started working at a high school in Częstochowa. His student was Jerzy Duda-Gracz. The painter had several individual exhibitions (War Museum in Ottawa in 1972, District Museum in Częstochowa 1978). He also took part in group exhibitions. He was a member of the Association of Polish Visual Artists. The most creative period was in the years 1970-1985. He painted battle scenes and scenes about the history of the Polish Army.
