Zofia Wolska (Zagnańsk near Kielce 1934 - 2016 Warszawa) from 1950 she studied sculpture in the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow in the studio of Xavery Dunikowski (she was the last student in his atelier). In 1955 she leaved Academy and moved to Warsaw, where continued studies and cooperation with professor Dunikowski until his death in 1965. She created monuments, small scale sculptures and portraits. Her sculptures from the Chopin cycle are in the Żelazowa Wola, Valldemossa and Warsaw airport Okęcie. She had numerous group and solo exhibitions. She has won numerous awards. She has made many artistic trips, incl. a scholarship to the USA (1980), a scholarship from the Kosciuszko Foundation in New York (1981), a scholarship from the Senate of the City of Berlin (1982). She was a guest lecturer at the Hochschule der Künste in West Berlin. (1980). In the years 1982-1989 she ran the Gallery of Polish Contemporary Art in Düsseldorf. In 1995, in her studio in the Old Town of Warsaw, she created the "Studio Autorskie Rzeźby", where she receives numerous guests from the world of art, culture and politics, and also exhibits her sculptures. Since the 1990s, she has been constantly working on behalf of the Chancellery of the President of Poland and the Government. Her works are presented to foreign guests, they were received, among others, by Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan, François Mitterrand, Vaclav Havel, King Baudouin I of Belgium, Valdas Adamkus, Queen Sylvia of Sweden, Hillary Clinton and Pope John Paul II. Her works can be found in prestigious government buildings and representative public interiors.
