Zdzisław Głowacki (Łódź 1919 1987 Łódź) Polish painter and lecturer. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in the studio of Hanna Rudzka Cybisowa. From 1949 he worked at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź as an assistant of Leon Ormezowski. He worked as a lecturer and in the years 1963–1971 as a rector. He participated in many art events in Sopot and Warsaw. He was a member of the art group "Piąte Koło". He created in the style socialist realism. He painted many portraits for example: Julian Marchlewski, Róża Luksemburg, Franciszek Jóźwiak, Józef Stalin, Włodzimierz Lenin and Feliks Dzierżyński. In the 1950’s he traveled to Italy. After this trip he painted in the tachisme manner. He had solo exhibitions in 1956, 1957, 1958, 1963, 1969, 1980 in Łódź 1962 - in Warszawa, and group exhibitions in Poland and abroad (Berlin, Kiev, Denmark, Netherlands). HIs works are in National Museum in Warsaw, Szczecin, Łódź and in private collections in Poland and abroad.
