Szymon Poprzęcki (c.1864-1942) - Polish painter, illustrator, and collector. He was a student at the Kraków School of Fine Arts and later a member of the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts. He practiced painting and art restoration, designed furniture and wood mosaics, and was deeply interested in folk art. For the Iconographic Archive collection, he created approximately 720 watercolor drawings of architecture (primarily wooden), but also of chapels, crosses, sculptures, furniture, ceramics, and textiles.
