Stanisław Marek Mazurkiewicz (born in 1883 - Czarna Wieś) painter, art critic, doctor of law. In the years 1912-1914 and 1918-1919 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, among others under Jacek Malczewski. In 1914 he was also a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (he studied under the supervision of Wojciech Hynais). From around 1926 he lived in Zakopane. In the years 1931-1933 he took part in exhibitions of the Association of Artists in Zakopane, in 1934 in Cieszyn.
