Stanisław Gałek (Mokrzyska 1876 -1961 Zakopane) was a Polish painter and sculptor, designer of kilims and author of many Tatra landscapes. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków under Jan Stanislawski and Jacek Malczewski. Then at the Königliche Kunstgewerbeschule in Munich and at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris under Jean Léon Gérôme. In the interwar period, he was considered the best landscape painter of the Tatra Mountains and also painted portraits.
