Karol Filip Malcz (Warsaw 1797 - 1867 Ozorków near Łódź) he was awarded the championship of goldsmith and he founded his own studio in Warsaw. In 1864 Malcz withdrew from his profession, handing over the company to Teodor Werner (1836-1902), nephew of his wife. The Malcz company soon after the opening got the opinion of one of the best in Warsaw. The artist did mostly the forms of objects, as well as designs and drawings of the decorations himself. He produced silver in historical styles: neo-renaissance, neo-Baroque and neoclassical. Malcz presented his products at exhibitions of the domestic industry, where they enjoyed high recognition.
