Soter Jaxa-Małachowski (Wolanów 1876 - 1952 Kraków) Polish painter of landscapes, seascapes, Tatras views, and genre scenes. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Odessa, in the years 1892-1894 at the School of Fine Arts in Krakow in the studios of Florian Stanisław Cynk, Władysław Łuszczkiewicz and Izydor Jabłoński. He also studied at the School of Painting and Drawing in Munich from 1894 in the atelier of Stanisław Grocholski. He lived in Munich until 1901 after returning to Poland he lived in Krakow and Zakopane. He traveled to Italy in the years: 1905, 1925, 1928. He participated in many exhibitions in Warsaw, Łódź, Poznań and Lublin. He mainly painted nocturnes. The artist's works are in the collections of Polish museums and private collections.
