Roman Breitenwald (Piotrków Trybunalski 1911 - 1985) Polish painter. For three years he studied at the State School of Decorative Arts in Poznań. In the years 1932–1937 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in the studios of Władysław Jarocki, Teodor Axentowicz, Stanisław Kamocki and Józef Mehoffer. In the years 1937–1938 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. After the war he lived in Miechów. He was a member of The Association of Polish Artists and Designers and the group Pro Arte. He presented his works at the exhibitions in Lviv, Bydgoszcz, Warsaw, Cracow, Miechów and Wrocław. Roman Breitenwald painted mainly genre and ballistic scenes. Part of his works was destroyed during the Warsaw uprising.
