Mozart Rottmann (1874 – 1961) since 1890, he studies at the Munich Art Academy, then Vienna, and finally Budapest. His most important style is European genre pieces, used often in Roccoco. Since 1907 also a portrait painter. His first exhibition was in Budapest in 1920. After 1920, he became well appreciated in Vienna, Prague and Munich. His paintings are currently in the museum of Uzhgorod, Budapest and Vienna and in private collections all over the world. In 2006, in Sotheby's New York, his painting 'Reading Talmud' was sold for appr. US Dollars 96 000. He gained popularity with current critics for his work. His work is in great demand.
