Monika Piwowarska (Orenburg 1914 - 2006 Warszawa) -in 1939 graduated Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She studied painting in the studio of Felicjan Kowarski. She painted landscapes, portraits, especially children portraits, Piwowarska also created puppets and toy projects. Influenced by her friendship with Henryk Stażewski from 1962, she focused on abstraction. Piwowarska also made abstract tapestries. She has won numerous awards. Her works are in the collections of the largest Polish museums and in private collections.
