Michał Gawlak (Tropie 1906 - 1971 Warsaw) Polish painter and graphic artist. In the years 1936-39 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. Mainly themes of his paintings were genre scenes and landscapes. He exhibited on solo and group shows in Mielno, Krynica Morska, Nowy Sącz, Międzyzdroje. From 1932 he was a member of group „Szczep rogate serce” founded in 1929 by sculptor Stanisław Szukalski. His works are in the National Museum in Cracow, Art Museum in Łódź and in Museum in Nowy Sącz.
