Max Hänger (Munich 1874 - Fürstenfeldbruck 1941) German painter. He studied decorative paintings in the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich. Most of all he was an animalist painter, his speciality was fowl – chickens, pheasants, blackcocks, partridges or peacocks placed on a cheering background. The most popular are his small size paintings, bigger formats appear very rare on the art market.
