Marek Wojciech Druszcz - photographer and photojournalist. He has worked for the greatest photo agencies such as: Agence France Presse, Reuters, AP, Central Photo Agency, dailies: Gazeta Wyborcza, Rzeczpospolita and Głos Pracy, weeklies: Kultura, Sportowiec and Polityka, where he headed the photo department for many years. His photos were also published in Life Magasin, Time, Newsweek, Buissness Week, Photo Magasin, International Herald Tribune, New York Times, Washington Post, Figaro. His most important exhibitions and publications include: participation in World Press Photo in Amsterdam in 1978, La Photographie Polonaise exhibition in Centre Pompidou in Paris in 1981, individual exhibition in Gaus Gallery in Stockholm in 1982, exhibition of the best press photos of Agence France Presse in Paris, Marseille and Lyon in 1990, exhibition of polish photography at University of Stanford in 1993, second prize in Polish Press Photography in 1997, exhibition The End of Yalta in Berlin and Warsaw in 1998, individual exhibition Maski in Warsaw in 1999, exhibition Pope John Paul II in Paris,, Warsaw, Kraków and Gdańsk in 2000, individual exhibitions in Rzeszów and Tarnów in 2003. Druszcz's photographs were published in the albums: New Photography in Europe, Le monde in Alert, J.Paul II, Book of the X-anniversary. He is a member of the authorities of the Union of Polish Art Photographers, the Photography Club, the Press Association of Polish Journalists and ZAiKS.
