Henryk Lewensztadt (Lublin 1893 - 1962 Israel) - studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He moved from Munich where he deepened the secrets of painting. After studies he returned to Lublin, where he painted many landscapes. He painted most willingly in Kazimierz. His most beautiful works were created there - landscapes form Kazimierz. In 1930 he decided to go on a long artistic journey, the destination of which was Paris, Venice, Genoa and Milan. From Paris he moved to Nice and spent the last year of his stay abroad there. In 1933 he returned to Poland. He lived in Zakopane. He spent the entire war period with his wife in the Soviet Union, in the Siberian taiga. He returned to Poland in 1946, but only for a short time. Three months later he left for Israel.
