Franciszek Wójcik (1903-1984) - a painter associated with the Zakopane artistic milieu, a student at the State Industrial School in Lviv. In the years 1932-1939 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, including with Sichulski, Weiss, Jarocki and Kamocki. In 1938, he went to Rome for a one-year scholarship, where he organized his first foreign individual exhibition. After returning to Poland, he lived in Zakopane and actively participated in artistic life there. He paints landscapes, portraits, still lifes, in his numerous Tatra landscapes one can see the inspirations of Kamocki's painting. At the Tatra Museum, Tytus Chałubiński, there was an exhibition from the series presenting the work of artists from the Zakopane environment, where selected landscapes of Franciszek Wójcik from the artist's granddaughter's collection were shown.
