Franciszek Gnyp (1894-1970) painter, art teacher. He studied at The Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków in the studios of Axentowicz and Mehoffer. He worked for many years as an art teacher in schools in Piotrków. His paintings are in collections in the country and abroad. He painted landscapes from Piotrków, portraits and regional scenes.
