Eugène Marioton (1854-1933) - French sculptor and medalist. He was a disciple of Dumont, Bonnasieux and Thomas. He exhibited his works at the Salons in years 1882-1922. He was very popular for over 50 years of his artistic activity. About 400 sculptures made by him are known. He created full sized allegorical and mitological and religious figures, as well as busts.
