Emil Lindeman (Lindemann) (Warsaw 1864 – 1945 (?) Ozorków) – Polish painter. He began his drawing studies in the studio of Wojciech Gerson at Warsaw Drawing Class. In 1887 he went to Krakow where for two years he studied at the School of Fine Arts in the studio of Jan Matejko. In 1890 he went to Paris. He traveled around Italy, he stayed for longer in Naples and Rome, where he studied at the Royal Institute of Fine Arts, then he went to Russia and stayed in St. Petersburg. In 1897 he returned to Warsaw and focused on the work of a painter, graphic artist and illustrator. He exhibited his works at the Society for the Encouragement of Fine Arts, the Salon of Aleksander Krywult. Images created by Emil Lindeman were oil and watercolors, characterized by their small size. Their theme was landscapes, views of seaside beaches, flowers and still lifes. When painting landscapes, he captured views from the Vilnius region, Warsaw, Nałęczów, Krynica and Wołyń. He rarely created genre scenes.
