Emil Boratyński (1806 or 1810 - 1876 Paris) pseudonym of Emil Jurkiewicz orEmil Edmund Korczak Boratyński, Polish painter. His biography is known only fragmentarily.He was active in exile after the November Uprising. He studied in the atelier of Józef Brodowski. He lived in London, Paris and Rome. In 1842 he moved to Florence where founded atelier. He knew Adam Mickiewicz and Cyprian Kamil Norwid. He portrayed people associated with the environment of the Hotel Lambert. The painter also maintained contacts with the country, exhibiting at least three times at the Krakow Society of Friends of Fine Arts.
