Ekaterina Nikolaevna Khilkova (Екатерина Николаевна Хилкова) (Tambow 1827 − circa 1876) Attended classes at the Academy of Fine Arts. For the painting "Interior view of the women's branch in St. Petersburg. the drawing school for an auditor," received from the Academy silver medal. In 1864, for "Portrait of Mr. Bulgakov's" received a second silver medal and the title of class artist third degree. However, since 1876, mentions in print about the life and work of the artist disappear. Khilkova worked for some time in the Women's Department of the St. Petersburg Drawing School as a drawing teacher, as well as in other educational institutes for women. His works are in the State Russian Museum in St. Petersburg. Khilova's works are characterized by high artistic craftsmanship. She specialized in portrait painting and genre scenes.
