Czesław Borys Jankowski (Warsaw 1862 - 1941 Sceaux) - illustrator-illustrator, fashion designer, painter. From 1872 to 1878, he studied in Warsaw at the 4th Junior High School, then at the J. Pankiewicz Real School, and in 1880-81 at the Warsaw School of Drawing W.Gerson and A.Kamiński. He also used the instructions of E.M. Andrew, under which he became interested in the illustration. At the beginning of 1886 he settled in Krakow, then from 1888 in Paris. He was a pupil of L.Bonnat, R.Collin, F.Cormon. In France, he created oil, pastel and drawing cycles of a small format on cardboard and canvas. He often wrote texts explaining the idea. From 1882, he exhibited many times in Warsaw in the Krywult Salon, from 1886 in TPSP in Krakow, in 1892-1896 often in TPSP in Lviv and Poznan, also in Berlin, Kiev, Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille. Works in many Polish museums.
