Alexander Kordes (Riga 1802-1868) was a Russian goldsmith and jeweler, owner of a workshop and shop. From 1828 he was a guild master. He worked mainly in St. Petersburg. Since 1839 Kordes carried out orders for the Imperial Cabinet, in 1840 he was appointed an official purveyor to the Imperial Russian Court.
