Wilhelm Binder - a studio founded in 1869 in Schwäbisch Gmünd - one of the largest German goldsmith centers. Wilhelm Binder's silver is a reflection of the changing trends at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The products were very highly valued, not only because of the original design, but also the precision of the workmanship. The studio won the gold medal at the World Exhibition in Paris in 1939 for a stylish goblet made of silver and ivory, designed by Wilhelm Wahl.
