Attribution: Karol Marcin Bolesta-Jankowski (Zasławie 1868 - 1928 Warszawa) – Polish architect and draftsman. After graduating from St. Paul's School in Odessa, he studied at the Riga Polytechnic, where in 1899 he obtained a diploma in architectural engineering with distinction. During his studies, he was accepted into the Arkonia academic corporation. Already in the first years of his professional career, he received awards for competition designs for the Riga museum and city hall buildings. After arriving in Warsaw in 1901, he began cooperation with architect Franciszek Lilpop, initially as an assistant and later as a partner. He was one of the organizers of the Warsaw Polytechnic, and especially its Faculty of Architecture, where he began lecturing in November 1915. From 1919, he was an associate professor at the Department of Urban Design, in 1921 he was nominated to professor, and was also a delegate to the academic senate in the years 1915-1919. For the next two academic years - 1923/1924 and 1924/1925 - he served as dean of the Faculty of Architecture. He was active in professional organizations, chairing the architects' circle of the Association of Technicians and the Society of Urban Planners. He also belonged to the Society for the Support of Folk Industry and initiated the activity of the magazine "Architecture and Construction".
