Alfred Jensen (Randers 1859 - 1935 Hamburg) Danish marine painter. From the age of fourteen he sailed on various ships, making many long voyages. In the years 1884–1885 he studied in Hamburg in the studios of H.Leitner, E.Neumann and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cassel. In 1901 in Lyon, he was awarded a gold medal for his marine-themed painting. He was a professor at the School of Applied Arts in Hamburg. His paintings are in the Kunsthalle in Hamburg in museums in Schwerin, Kiel, Altona-Hamburg, Gdańsk and in private collections.
