Alessandro Ruga (Capolago 1836 - Pontevico 1917) - Italian sculptor born in Switzerland. He studied at the Accademia Albertina in Turin, as a student of Vincenzo Vela. He opened his own studio in Milan, where lived and worked. Only a few of the artist's sculptures have survived, mainly busts and figures of children.
