Attribution: Ferruccio Giacomelli (Bologna 1897-1987) - self-taught Italian painter. Individual artistic practice became the basis of his work. In 1926, he won the prestigious Baruzzi competition with the painting Le bagnanti, which is now in the collection of the Modern Art Gallery in Bologna. Despite following art trends and artistic movements, he has retained his individual style. He took part in a few exhibitions, winning awards, among others. at the national exhibition in 1927 in Florence. In the years 1941-1943 he was a member of the Supreme Council of Fine Arts at the Ministry of Public Education, in 1948 he was awarded the gold medal of Merit to Culture and Art. In his artistic career, he had only one individual exhibition in 1967 at the Montanari Gallery in Ferrara.
